Jane is the producer, host, and editor of Music Buddy. She also co-hosts and produces Employee of the Myth, a podcast about the much-loved Canadian band Skydiggers. 

Gowan is a Vancouver-born musician, singer-songwriter, and graphic designer. She has a BA in Political Science from UBC, and a music diploma from VCC. She and college pal Koralee Tonack co-founded the indie-pop group Spygirl. In 2006, Jane moved to Toronto, and founded indie pop 4tet The Real Shade. Since then, she has worked consistently with musician/songwriter/producer Tim Vesely (Rheostatics, The Violet Archers). In 2025, Jane and Tim released an album entitled The Duo Sessions.

Tim Vesely is a founding member of the legendary Toronto Art Rock band Rheostatics. He has also released 2 critically-acclaimed albums with his alter-ego outfit The Violet Archers.

Tim is the House Engineer at The Woodshed Studio, Music Buddy's "home base". Tim also composes and produces music for film and television.
